Create an announcement banner

Overview

Banners let you promote a message - a sale, a new feature, or an important notice - across your live site. You can run one active banner per site at a time.

Create a banner

1. Open Banners for your site and create a new banner.
2. Write your message, and optionally a title.
3. Choose a type, style, and position (see below).
4. Optionally add a call-to-action button with a label and link.
5. Turn the banner active to make it live.

Type

The type sets the banner’s colour and tone:

• Info - neutral blue.
• Warning - amber.
• Promo - your accent colour.
• Success - green.

Style and position

• Style - a full-width banner or a popup.
• Position - pinned to the top or bottom of the page.

Scheduling and dismissal

• Schedule - set optional start and end times so the banner only shows within that window.
• Dismissal - choose how long a dismissal lasts: for the session only, 24 hours, 48 hours, or one week.

One active banner

Only one banner can be active per site. Activating a banner automatically deactivates any other active one, so you never show two at once.
