Set up a contact form

Build a form, choose its fields, and connect it to a contact section on your page.

Overview

Forms let visitors get in touch or sign up. You build a form once in the Forms tool, then connect it to a contact section on a page. Forms are available on the Grow and Scale plans.

Build a form

  1. Open Forms for your site and create a new form.
  2. Add fields and arrange them in the builder.
  3. Configure each field’s label, placeholder, and whether it’s required.

Field types

You can add the following field types:

  • Text, Email, and Phone inputs.
  • Text area for longer messages.
  • Checkbox, Select, and Radio for choices.

Form settings

  • Notification email - get an email when someone submits.
  • Success behaviour - show an inline message or redirect to a URL after submission.
  • Submit button label - defaults to “Send message”.

Connect it to a page

  1. Open a page in the editor and add a section that accepts a form.
  2. Connect the section to the form you built.
  3. Publish the page. Until a form is connected, the section shows a placeholder prompting you to connect one.

Several sections can host a form. The Contact Form section (under Contact) suits a full enquiry form, while the Newsletter sections (under CTA) are built for short signup forms - typically a single email field. Pick the one that fits, then attach one of your own forms to it.

Newsletter and subscribe sections

For building a mailing list, the CTA category includes three newsletter layouts. They don’t contain a form of their own - you attach one of your own forms, the same way you do for a contact section:

  • Newsletter Centered - a centered headline and supporting text with the form below, in a contained box.
  • Newsletter Split - a full-width band with your copy on one side and the form on the other.
  • Newsletter Inline - a compact, low-key opt-in that sits well near the footer or end of a page.

These are designed around a short signup form, so a single email field works best. The section settings will flag a connected form that has more fields than the layout is built for.

Spam protection

Forms include a hidden honeypot field to catch automated spam bots - submissions that trip it are silently discarded. There is no extra CAPTCHA step for your real visitors.
