Overview
Promino’s analytics are designed to be privacy-friendly. Because they don’t use cookies or store personal data like IP addresses, they make privacy compliance much simpler than traditional analytics.
No cookies, no personal identifiers
- No tracking cookies are set, so visitors aren’t followed across sites.
- IP addresses are never stored. A visitor count is derived from a one-way, daily-rotating fingerprint that can’t be reversed or used to identify someone.
- Country is determined at the edge without retaining the IP.
Respecting consent signals
Promino honours Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals, and supports an opt-out, so visitors who prefer not to be measured are excluded.
What this means for cookie banners
Because the built-in analytics don’t use cookies or store personal data, you generally don’t need a cookie consent banner for them. Note that if you add Google Analytics, that is a separate, cookie-based tool that only loads after a visitor accepts cookie consent.
Data retention
Raw events are automatically deleted after 90 days. This is general guidance, not legal advice - review your obligations for your audience and region.
