Overview
When you publish a site, Promino automatically adds machine-readable structured data and an llms.txt file. These help search engines and AI tools understand your content, with no setup or configuration on your part. They are only added to your live site - never to the editor or preview.
What structured data is
Structured data describes your content in a standard format (schema.org) that search engines read. It can unlock richer search results - star ratings, FAQ drop-downs, and clearer business listings. Promino only ever describes content you have actually added, so the data always matches what visitors see.
Site and business information
Every published site describes itself with:
- Your organisation - your business name, logo, and links, drawn from your settings and footer.
- Your website - the site name and address, so search engines can show your site clearly.
- Breadcrumbs - the path to each page, helping search engines show where a page sits in your site.
If you fill in your business and legal details - including a postal address - Promino describes your site as a local business, which is ideal for shops, studios, and venues. Without an address, it uses a general organisation listing. Either way, Promino only includes fields you have genuinely provided.
Sections that describe themselves
Some sections add their own structured data when their content maps cleanly to a recognised type. Promino is deliberately conservative here - most sections add nothing, which is correct. The sections that do:
- FAQ sections describe your questions and answers as an FAQ, eligible for FAQ rich results.
- Testimonials and reviews describe customer quotes as reviews, including a star rating when you set one.
- Team sections describe each member as a person, with their role when provided.
- Pricing sections describe each plan as a product offer, but only when a price is written in a clear currency amount.
You do not switch any of this on - simply use these sections and fill them with real content. Leaving a rating blank or writing a price without a currency just means that detail is left out, which is fine.
The llms.txt file
Promino also publishes an llms.txt file at your site root (for example yourdomain.com/llms.txt). It is a plain-text list of your published pages with their titles and descriptions, similar to a sitemap but written for AI tools that increasingly look for this file to understand a site quickly.
When it updates
All of this follows your normal publishing flow. Whenever you publish a page, change section content, or update your business details, the structured data and llms.txt refresh automatically. There is nothing to regenerate by hand.
Getting the most from it

- Add a real star rating to testimonials when you have one.
- Write prices with a currency symbol or code (for example
€29) so pricing offers are included. - Give each page a clear SEO title and description - these feed both search results and
llms.txt.
